GelSight Mini
Tactile sensor by GelSight, Waltham, US
GelSight Mini is a compact vision-based tactile sensor: a camera images the deformation of an elastomer gel pad to produce a roughly 320 x 240 tactile image at about 25-30 Hz, which can be turned into 2D and 3D surface geometry. It is sized for parallel-jaw grippers and humanoid fingertips, is recognised by a PC like a webcam, and ships with Python tools and ROS support, making it the usual entry point for tactile-sensing research.

Editor's notes
Quotation only at Robotics Center (guide) (https://www.roboticscenter.ai/guides/best-tactile-sensors-robot-learning/). Unverified (free text): sensing-area; official-spec-page. No exact price found on a fetched page. Width 32 mm, thickness 28 mm (Robot Report). "Recognised like a webcam" implies USB, but the page does not name the interface, so it is left out. release_year 2022 inferred from search-result titles of the September 2022 launch press release ("Introducing the GelSight Mini", Business Wire 2022-09-21) — the release itself was not fetched, so treat as provisional. gelsight.com was not in search results and was not fetched.
